東城路は大邱の若者文化の中心地です。大邱駅交差点から900メートル続く中心業務地区です。この道路は 1907 年に大邱城城塞都市の古い東側の城壁の跡地に建設されました。この通りはさらに、校洞ジュエリーストリート、トッポッキ横丁、ハンドバッグ横丁、夜市横丁など、テーマごとに分かれています。 2009年には全国初の公共交通専用地域に指定された。
