柱節里の断崖は、手で彫ったようなさまざまな六角形の岩柱です。無等山の柱状節理は、約 7,000 万年前に形成された徐石台、出石台、牛峰岩で構成されています。出石台と牛峰岩は風化が激しく独特の柱状を呈しており、徐石台は風化が少ないため屏風のような形をしている。山の斜面にあるネオドルジョン(塊岩)は、石柱が崩れてできたものです。立岩と老ドル鐘はその希少性と特異性から天然記念物に指定されています。
