As it is a civilian control line area, advance entry application is required on the Yanggu County Office website. On the day of visit, you must fill out an entry report form at Dootayeon Gallery (Gobangsan-ri, Bangsan-myeon) and enter with a cultural and tourism guide (visitors use their own vehicles).
Dootayeon is an imported stream. These are waterfalls and plunge pools that were formed when the bend of the water was cut (cutting a meander) as the tributary, Saesangcheon, flows through the mountainous region. A puddle refers to a round, hollow water hole dug deep beneath a waterfall. It is formed when falling water grinds (erodes) or tears away (excavates) the area below the waterfall along with gravel, etc. Meanwhile, the name Dutayeon originated from the fact that there was a temple called Dutasa Temple nearby.
