As part of the South Coast Tourism Belt Project, in order to provide an opportunity to be reborn as a marine tourism city in the era of South Coast tourism, a marine park befitting Korea's best naval port city was built using a retired ship (Gangwon) freely transferred from the Navy Headquarters. It is a historical, cultural, and educational experience center that inspires the spirit of a marine tourism city. The Naval History Experience Center has a total floor area of 1880㎡ (approximately 560 pyeong) on two floors above ground. The first floor uses state-of-the-art facilities and consists of various experiential exhibition rooms related to naval battles in the East and the West, and the second floor exhibition room has exhibition halls such as 'Sea Power and Naval Power' and 'Marine Power'. The theme of ‘Outpost Jinhae’ introduces the importance of maritime power and Jinhae. The marine life theme park is a building in the shape of a conch, containing nature, with the first floor being the sea, the second floor being land, and the third floor being the sky. It is largely divided into a swimming organism exhibition room on the first floor and a benthic organism exhibition room on the second floor, as well as an experience room and video. It consists of a room and a special exhibition room, so that you can appreciate the underwater ecosystem at a glance.
