This park opened on July 1, 1987 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and France. Korea and France established diplomatic relations in 1886, and in 1986, as it was decided to build Seoul Plaza in Paris and Paris Plaza in Seoul, the 2nd Neighborhood Park in Mokdong New Town was renovated and created. The traditional styles of both countries were harmoniously reflected, with the Seoul Plaza decorated with the Three Taegeuk pattern and the Paris Plaza created a French-style flower bed. At the outdoor stage plaza, performances are held for nearby residents and outdoor weddings are also held.
