This is the house where former President Park Chung-hee lived with his family from 1958 until he moved to the official residence of the Chairman of the Supreme Council for National Reconstruction in Jangchung-dong in 1961. (Area: 128.93㎡) This house was developed by Joseon Urban Management Co., Ltd. in the Sindang-dong cultural residential area in the late 1930s. It is the only remaining house among the houses built, and is recognized as an important document of Korea's residential history, and was designated as National Registered Cultural Heritage No. 412. It was recreated based on photos and press materials from the time the family lived there, and has been open to the public since 2015. Former President Park's reception room, the master bedroom where you can imagine First Lady Yuk Young-soo's life, and photos and phrases from the childhood of former President Park Geun-hye and her three children are on display.
