This island, called Jangdo because its shape when viewed from the mainland is similar to that of roe deer, is the only island in Boseong-gun. It belongs to Yeoja Bay, which refers to the sea between Goheung and Yeosu, and is located 3.8km southeast of Jangam-ri, Beolgyo-eup. It is an island with an area of ​​2.92㎢, a coastline of 15.9㎞, and a highest point of 76m, and is located in the center of the Beolgyo tidal flat. The tidal range is so severe that at low tide, almost all of the sea water drains and the mud flats spread out so wide that the coast of Jangdo Island is exposed. There is a hilly mountainous area with a gentle slope to the south of Jangdo Island, but it is mostly made up of low flat land. 'Jangdo' is not yet well-known, but the island residents are full of affection, and you can taste island meals using abundant seafood (cockles, octopus, clams, oysters, etc.), and it is a beautiful natural scenery and healing course.
