This is one of the sandstone layers that have been accumulated over tens of millions of years. It is a coastal scenery created by harsh waves hitting the coastal cliffs. It is a place where caves resembling small rooms and vast erosion zones of rock walls spread out to create a spectacular sight. It is one of the newly introduced tourist courses in Jeju for some time. The name Yongmeori was given because the shape of the hill resembles a dragon entering the sea with its head raised. According to legend, Qin Shi Huang, who knew that the dragon's head was in great shape to become a king, sent Hojongdan and cut off the dragon's tail and back with a sword. At this time, blood flowed and Sanbangsan Mountain continued to cry in pain for several days.

If you move along the coastal road toward Daejeong, you will reach Songaksan Mountain. Although it is only 104m high, it is a famous attraction that forms a direct wall with the sea. Ponies are playing leisurely in the meadow, and Hyeongje Island floats picturesquely in the sea. At the bottom of the cliff, you can see a cave that the Japanese dug during the Japanese colonial period to avoid Allied attacks.
