In Seolleung, there are Seolleung, which enshrines the 9th King Seongjong of the Joseon Dynasty and his second wife, Queen Jeonghyeon, and Jeongneung, which enshrines the 11th King Jungjong. Seongjong is the grandson of King Sejo and the second son of King Deokjong. He was born in the 3rd year of King Sejo's reign (1457). He ascended to the throne at the age of 13 (1469). He left many achievements, such as encouraging learning and reorganizing the system, during his 25 years of reign. He was 38 years old. He passed away in 1494. Queen Jeonghyeon was the daughter of Yunho, Buwongun of Woosang Yeongwon. She was appointed queen in the 11th year of King Seongjong's reign (1480) and passed away at the age of 69 in the 25th year of King Jungjong's reign (1530). Jungjong was the second son of King Seongjong. He was born in the 19th year of King Seongjong's reign (1488), ascended to the throne in 1506, and passed away at the age of 57 in the 39th year of his reign (1544). Although the private Seonjeongneung Royal Tomb is located in the middle of the city, it is not very well known, so it is quiet and you can enjoy a quiet walk. In addition, the wire mesh fence surrounding the tomb was demolished and an old-fashioned fence was built in the forested section to create a stone walled road.
