Gwangwanggok, the 8th scenic spot among the Eight Scenic Views of Hwaam, is a mysterious valley where the sky, clouds, and earth meet, and there is a legend that unclean people have been prohibited from entering since ancient times.
According to the legend, if you enter the mountain after eating unclean food (chicken or dog meat), all tree branches will look like snakes, and if you do not, there are many cases of injury. Therefore, it is said that before exploring the famous mountain Gwanggwanggok, one must purify one's body and mind. There are caves, 12 springs, waterfalls, etc. in the rugged valley that stretches about 4km from the entrance to Gwangwanggok Valley. There are Sodogul, Chotdaebawi Rock, Cheungdaebawi Rock, Byeongpungbawi Rock, Yeongcheon Falls, Golbaengiso, Gapjaso, Seonnyeo Falls, Guyongso, Piyongso, Baemyongso, Chiso, Yongdae Rock, Jarso, Kilnso, and Tablewareso. In particular, Gwangwanggok is a famous mountain, and it is said that when people pray to the mountain god here, they dig up wild ginseng, and many people still visit this place.
