Bangtaesan Mountain is located in Bangdong-ri, Girin-myeon, Inje-gun, Gangwon-do, and is a mountain that forms the border between Inje-gun and Hongcheon-gun. It borders Seoraksan Mountain and Jeombongsan Mountain to the north, and Gaesan Mountain to the south. The scenery of long ridges and deep valleys stretching out in all directions is outstanding, and the mysterious shape of this mountain is mentioned several times in the book “Jeonggamrok”. Due to inconvenient transportation, it still maintains a clean, unpolluted valley. The deep blue water of Achimgari Valley rolls down like beads on the bedrock, and Jeokgarigol Valley has a unique land shape like an unfolding fan.

Its origins are Jugeukbong Peak (1,443m) and Guryongdeokbong Peak (1,338m), which are named because they look like a spatula when viewed from a distance. Bangtaesan Mountain Natural Recreation Forest is also located in Bangtaesan Mountain and has abundant water. In particular, Madangbawi Rock and the two-stage waterfall are spectacular. There are a variety of tree species, including pines, birch trees, pine trees, and oak trees, so the natural scenery is beautiful depending on the season. In addition, fish such as red-necked fish, catfish, and many wild animals such as wild boars, rabbits, pheasant deer, and squirrels also live here. br />
Below the southwest of Jugeukbong Peak, a private mineral spring, is located among a clean natural forest. It is said that private mineral water, famous for its pungent taste, was discovered in 1891 by Ji Deok-sam (a North Korean citizen from North Hamgyong Province) while he was living as a monk. Bangtaesan Mountain is a perfect valley summer resort due to its dense forest and cold valley water so that the sky is not visible in the summer, and Bangtaesan Mountain in fall. The secret areas of Jeokgarigol, Golangol, Yongneupgol, and Gaedongdong Valley are in full bloom. When you stand at the top, you can see Gurungdeokbong Peak (1388), Yeonseoksan Mountain (1321), Eungboksan Mountain (1156), and Gachilbong Peak (1240) at a glance.
