Woljeongri Station is the last train station closest to the southern limit of the Demilitarized Zone. If you go to Woljeongri Station, you can see a train stopped next to a sign that says ‘Iron Horse Wants to Run’. During the Korean Conflict, the North Korean army withdrew and took only the front part of the train, and now only the rear part, which is used as a passenger car, remains. The stopped train at Woljeong-ri Station, located in the Iron Triangle where the fiercest fighting took place during the Korean Conflict, is a symbol that symbolically expresses the history of Korea's division.
Currently, Cheorwon Woljeong-ri Station (Iron Triangle Observatory) is operated by Cheorwon-gun as a security tourism course, and many tourists visit every year.
