GANGWON-DO WEATHER
It is located near the summit of Jinburyeong on the northern side of the Taebaek Mountain Range, which forms the back of the Korean Peninsula, and is located on and around National Highway 46, which leads to Seoraksan National Park and the East Sea. The surrounding area is mostly natural broad-leaved forest land, but some artificial plantations are also distributed in small areas. Clear, clean water flows into the center of the recreation forest along large and small valleys formed from Maebongsan Mountain (1,271m above sea level) and Chiljeolbong Peak (1,172m above sea level). There are many different types of forest trees, so not only are the natural scenery beautiful, with greenery, autumn leaves, and snow scenes depending on the season, but also a variety of wild animals, such as wild boars, rabbits, pheasants, roe deer, squirrels, and raccoons, which are natural monuments. Yeonhwa-dong, a recreational forest, has a “lotus fountain-shaped” topography that resembles a lotus flower floating on water. Materials required include a tent and simple dining utensils.
