Eungbongsan Mountain, which straddles Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do and Bonghwa-gun and Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is a tributary of the Nakdongmaekjeon and is a deep mountain at 999.7m above sea level with two valleys that can be explored by staying at least one night. It is said that the name of Eungbongsan Mountain comes from the mountain that resembles a falcon, and it is said that it was previously called Maebong. Considering that there is an inscription as Gagoksan on Yeojidoseo, a map produced in 1759, it is presumed that the old name of Eungbongsan Mountain was Gagoksan.

This valley, dotted with numerous waterfalls and deep valleys, is known as a very adventurous hiking destination for amateur hikers. Yongsogol is the last unexplored area in Korea, hidden in an uninhabited primeval forest. Although it is not well known so that only a few professional mountaineers can find it alone, the nature there is so well preserved that it deserves to be described as unexplored. The spectacular sight of a valley opening around a bend unfolds continuously for 14km. Yongsogol here has three Yongso. Strangely shaped rocks, clear water, and primeval forests. When you slide down a natural waterway as if riding a sled, you will be amazed at the unexplored scenery you encounter. The gourd-shaped Yongso Waterfall is so blue that its depth cannot be determined. The hiking course is rough and it is best not to go there, especially when it is raining. Since the mountain alone requires an itinerary of 2 days and 1 night, it is best to plan a leisurely itinerary.
