Hwanseongul Cave is a limestone cave created about 530 million years ago and is the largest in Asia. Inside the cave, stalactites, stalagmites, and stone pillars of various shapes, including beauty statues, turtles, and jars, are magnificently developed. There are a total of 47 species of animals discovered in Hwanseon Cave, and among these, four species, including the Hwanseonjangnim beetle, are found only in Hwanseon Cave or are recorded as the type production site of Hwanseon Cave. Since April 2010, the Hwanseon Cave monorail began operating, making it easier to see Hwanseon Cave.
