Seorak Mountain, the beauty of mountains. Seoraksan Mountain, the highest mountain in the Taebaek Mountain Range (Daecheongbong Peak, 1,708m), the backbone of the Korean Peninsula, is the most beautiful mountain in South Korea. It is home to all kinds of flowers such as azaleas in the spring, clear and clean valley water in the summer, autumn leaves around the Seorak Festival period, and snow-covered scenery. It arouses admiration from those who visit it at any time of the year. With Hangyeryeong and Misiryeong as the boundary line, the eastern sea side is called Oeseorak, the western side is called Naeseorak, and the Osaek district south of Hangyeryeong is also called Namseorak.
The Namseorak region has been famous for its five-color mineral springs and hot springs since ancient times, and the Yongso Falls, Sibdu Falls, and Goddess Falls in the Jujeongol area form representative landscapes, and the mountain scenery is beautiful. Jeombongsan Mountain (1,424.2m) also belongs to the Namseorak region. In the Namseorak region, the representative hiking courses include the Osaek-Daecheong course and the Hangyeryeong-Gkkkeong-Daecheong course. The five-color course path is above the Greenyard Hotel, the national park ticket office along the national highway, and the Hangyeryeong course path is the Seorakru Stairs next to Hangyaryeong Rest Area.
