釜山亚运会主体育场是一个提供体育赛事和表演的多功能体育场馆，体育场采用独特的曲线设计，拥有 48 个柱子和 72 个出口，墙壁极少，营造出开放的空间感觉。被国际田径联合会（IAAF）认定为一流的国际体育场，即使遇到大雨、每小时降雨量高达10~15毫米的情况下，运动员也只需12~12分钟就可以继续比赛。专业的草坪种植方式，24小时的等待，2000勒克斯的灯光系统和绚丽的电子记分牌，为观众提供高分辨率的电视转播，让观众观看精彩的比赛。
