무안에는 회산백련서식지가 있는데, 면적이 33만㎡에 달하는 아시아 최대 규모의 백련서식지이다. 대부분의 연꽃은 분홍색이지만 무안의 연꽃은 백설 공주로 매우 드물다. 무안 백련축제 기간에는 백련꽃이 만발한 풍경과 연꽃을 주제로 한 액티비티를 즐길 수 있다.
