홍성 서쪽 끝에 위치한 남당항은 해산물이 풍부하기로 유명한 서해안 항구이다. 천수만의 깨끗한 바닷물로 둘러싸인 남다항에는 꽃게, 꼬막, 주렁이 등 다양한 해양 생물이 서식하는 곳입니다. 남당항에는 매년 9월 초부터 10월 중순까지 국내 최대 규모의 새우축제가 열려 많은 관광객이 찾아온다.
