인천 소래포는 수도권과 가깝음에도 불구하고 여전히 옛 어촌의 분위기를 간직하고 있으며 우리나라 수산업의 중요성을 간직하고 있습니다. 소래포구항축제는 매년 수많은 국내외 관광객이 참여할 정도로 인기 있는 행사로 자리 잡았다. 축제 기간 동안 일대 도로는 차량 통행이 금지되며 다양한 노점상과 행사장으로 변신한다. 이벤트 외에도 소래포구에서 잡힌 싱싱한 생선을 판매하는 전통시장과 전통낚시도구가 전시되어 있다.
