백담계곡은 백담사에서 인제군 용대리까지 8km 구간을 이룬다. 계곡에는 도로가 있지만 일반 통행이 금지되어 있습니다. 계곡은 설악산 국립공원 내에 위치하고 있습니다. 계곡을 흐르는 시냇물은 넓고 깊다. 계곡 이름은 계곡을 따라 100개의 웅덩이(댐)가 있다고 해서 붙여진 이름이다. 백담계곡은 깨끗한 물과 울창한 숲이 특징이다.
