龍老火山錐是濟州島眾多寄生火山之一，也是複雜火山系統的典型例子。該錐體由火山岩和土壤的混合物組成，與其他礦石相比，它是最近形成的。當主火山的岩漿從周圍地區的薄弱點滲出時，就會形成火山錐，可以被視為小火山。 Yongnunioreum 覆蓋著茂密的草叢，是許多野花的家。錐體的名字來自於它的形狀像一條躺下的龍。
