백암리 계곡을 따라 5km 올라가면 울창한 숲 아래 '점정바위'라는 이름의 길이 180㎡의 돌과 작은 폭포가 나온다. 이 계곡이 백운동계곡이다. 거의 6km에 걸쳐 계곡의 물은 바위 위로만 흐르고, 크고 작은 20개가 넘는 폭포와 호수가 있다. 계곡의 큰 돌들은 햇빛과 강한 물살에 씻겨져 아름다워집니다. 가장 유명한 폭포는 배은폭포폭포와 오담폭포폭포이다. '영남제일천속'이라는 글자가 새겨진 등천대에는 거센 물살이 흐른다. 백운동계곡은 깨끗한 자연환경을 유지하여 청정지역이다. 봄에는 계곡이 진달래로 장식되고, 여름에는 시원해 많은 관광객이 찾는다.
