天長湖は七甲山自然休養林から約11キロ離れた七甲山の尾根に位置しています。これは 1,200 ヘクタールの貯水池であり、近くの農地の灌漑に使用されています。建設は 1972 年に始まり、完成までに 7 年かかりました。湖はきれいな水と素晴らしい周囲の景観を誇っています。霧や雲の下に入ると、七甲山の風景を背景に美しい景色を作り出します。春先にはワカサギが大量に獲れ、多くの観光客や釣り人が集まります。
