박달재는 제천시 봉양읍과 백운면을 가르는 가파른 언덕을 말한다. 박달도령과 금봉낭자의 전설적인 슬픈 사랑 이야기를 담고 있다. 제천시는 '박다리와 금본이' 캐릭터를 활용해 홍보하고 있다. 언덕 입구에 일주문을 설치해 방문객들에게 볼거리를 제공하고 있다. 또한 박달재 랜드마크 사업을 기반으로 관광객들에게 유명한 명소가 되었다.
