仙南湖公園はもともと工業用水を供給するために開発され、40 年以上高い有刺鉄線で一般の立ち入りが禁止されていました。しかし、この地域が産業上の理由で使用されなくなった後、フェンスは撤去され、1.2㎢の湖のエリアは公園に転用されました。息を呑むような景色とその環境を引き立てるために、さまざまな施設や散策路が整備されました。
