CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO WEATHER
Baekaksan Mountain is located in Sadam-ri, Cheongcheon-myeon, Goesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. It is majestic at 857m above sea level and preserves its natural beauty. Nearby are Nakyeongsan Mountain and Gongrimsa Temple. Baekaksan Mountain is said to be a mountain made up of a hundred peaks. When you climb the mountain and climb over the small rocks, there are so many big and small rocks that you might think there must be a hundred. Although Baekaksan Mountain is located on the border between Chungbuk and Gyeongbuk, people used to climb it from Gyeongbuk and descend towards Okyang Falls due to transportation convenience. However, recently, due to the paved local road to Sadam-ri in North Chungcheong Province and the unspoiled valley of Daebang-ri Valley, many hikers have started using the Daebang-ri course. This is because not only does the mountain itself preserve its natural beauty, but there are many things to see and summer vacation spots nearby, such as Nakyeongsan Mountain, Gongrimsa Temple, Cheongwon, and the natural monument of Mangae Tree.

At the summit, three rocks each have a unique shape forming a triangle: Train Rock, which is about 20 meters long, Chair Rock, which looks like a chair, and Frog Rock, which looks like a frog. There is space under the chair rock, and there is a two-story cave that is perfect for about 10 people to take shelter from the rain.

If you go east, you can descend to Okyang-dong via the heliport, but if you want to descend to Daebang-ri, go down the way you came for about 10 minutes and you will see a path going down to the valley on the left. If you go around the hillside to the southwest, the road leads to the border of the province that flows down from the top of Baekaksan Mountain in 15 minutes, and from here the road is very easy. The path made of hemp is soft and relieves the fatigue from your feet.

If you look back occasionally, the picturesque ridge leading from the 819m peak to the top of the dome-shaped rock peak becomes increasingly distant, and it takes about 30 minutes to reach the crossroads where the second tomb is. At the fork, take the valley road on the right and you can reach Daebang-ri in about 50 minutes. Daebang-ri is said to have been said that when King Sejo of the Joseon Dynasty stayed in this village for a night on his way to Chojeong mineral water from Mt. Songnisan, he was so intoxicated by the scent of apricot blossoms blowing in from Sadam-ri that he could not sleep and had him write "杏風石" on a large rock in Sadam Village and make a memorial service. As the story goes, the stone is still in Saddam Village.
