* Doraksan Mountain, a mountain with the joy of learning the path *
Doraksan Mountain (965.3m) is a rocky mountain formed about halfway between Sobaeksan Mountain and Woraksan Mountain, and part of it is currently included within the scope of Woraksan National Park. The surrounding scenery is even more beautiful because the four so-called Eight Scenic Views of Danyang, including Sangseonam, Jungseonam, and Haseonam, and Sainam to the north along the mountain, are adjacent to each other. It is said that Toegye Lee Hwang, who served as the governor of Danyang County, was also impressed by the spectacular view. The ridge is surrounded by rocky peaks such as Sinseonbong Peak, Chaeunbong Peak, Geombong Peak, and Hyeongbong Peak, like a fortress wall. After crossing Sanggsang Bridge, there is Sangseonam Rock, and after passing through the sloping ridge, you come across small Seonbawi Rock and large Seonbawi Rock. At Sinseonbong Peak, which has the best view of Doraksan Mountain, there are old pine trees rising from the huge bedrock and Wolaksan Mountain standing in front of you. You can see mountain ranges such as Hwangjeongsan Mountain, Suribong Mountain, Jakjaksan Mountain, Munsubong Peak, and Yongdusan Mountain. Cheongpine trees rising from the crevices of the rocks along the rocky road to the summit, where the scenery of the rocky hills, valleys, and forest paths are outstanding, create a landscape painting along with the rock walls.

There is an anecdote about Uam that the person who named the mountain Doraksan was none other than Uam Song Si-yeol, who named the mountain with the meaning that "there must be a path to enlightenment, and there must necessarily be joy in it." It is a place where you can deeply feel the personality of Master Uam if you climb Mt. Dorak and appreciate it.
