CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO WEATHER
Cheontaesan Mountain, which is 714.3m above sea level, is loved by mountaineering enthusiasts due to its outstanding natural scenery, well-maintained hiking trails, and many famous attractions scattered around, and is a popular hiking destination for families. In particular, the Eight Scenic Views of Yangsan begins here as the first scenic spot in the British history of Cheontaesan Mountain, and many cultural relics add to its mystery. Cheontaesan Mountain consists of four hiking courses, and in particular, the taste of climbing the 75m rock wall course with a rope is an attraction unique to Cheontaesan that cannot be missed.

From the entrance of Cheontaesan Mountain, there are about 20 hikes along the fall foliage road. If you walk a few minutes, you can enjoy the spectacular view of Yongchu Falls pouring down from a strangely shaped cliff, and if you walk a little further, you can get a glimpse of the outstanding appearance of the British ginkgo tree (a natural monument) that has been protecting this mountain for over 1,300 years. Yeongguksa Temple was founded by Monk Wongak in the 8th year of King Munmu of Silla, and there are Oksaebong and Yukjogol where there is a legend that King Hyo-so took refuge there, leading the six palace officials, and during the reign of King Munjong of Goryeo, State Preceptor Daegak called Gukchangsa Temple, and King Gongmin fled here to escape the Red Turban Rebellion. It was renamed Yeongguksa Temple because it was said that the national crisis was overcome by praying for national peace. It is now used as a place for history education for young people.
