Samseonghyeol, which is designated as a nationally designated cultural property and historic site, is said to be the place where the three gods of Goeulna, Yangeulna, and Bueulna, who founded Tamna in the beginning, emerged.
According to ancient records (Goryeo History, etc.), the three gods lived a hunting life. While eating meat, he married the three princesses who brought five grain seeds and six livestock from Byeokrangguk on the East Sea, and then went on a mission to prepare their own living grounds. It is said that the capital was decided by shooting . Accordingly, it is said that this land of Jeju was divided into the first island (Jeju), the second island (Daejeong), and the third island (Jeongui), and a tribal nation was established and industry was created and prospered. The blood from which these three gods came was the body. It is located in the shape of (品). Rainwater or snow does not seep into this aperture, and the surrounding trees are facing the acupuncture point, making it look like they are bowing to the Three Gods, which amazes visitors. Here, 500-year-old cypress trees, camphor trees, crape myrtles, and goldenrod trees are dense, creating a forest in the city. Samseonghyeol was first converted into a sanctuary during the reign of King Jungjong of the Joseon Dynasty (1526) by pastor Lee Su-nong, who first erected a podium and a hongmun gate and built a fence. They began to hold ancestral rites in the spring and fall, and are currently holding the annual Spring and Autumn Festivals (April 10 and October 10 in the solar calendar) and the Geonshi Grand Festival (December 10 in the solar calendar).
