Yongchu Falls, located about 2.5km west of Samhwasa Temple, the entrance to Mureung Valley, is a deep rock basin shaped like an upper, middle, and lower jar, where the water stream flows down from Cheongoksan Mountain (1,403.7m). Ssang Falls, located below Yongchu Falls (70m), is so high and beautiful that its water source can be mistaken for the sky. The water coming down from Yongchu Falls and the water from Bakdal Valley meet here, as if representing the providence and law of nature's yin and yang. It forms the peak of Mureung Valley.
