The Peace Observatory was completed in 2007 after losing its proper function due to the overgrowth of trees in front of the nearby Iron Triangle Observatory. It is an observatory that provides a panoramic view of the Demilitarized Zone on the central front in Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do and the North Korean region. It is equipped with exhibits that reproduce the second tunnel, military barracks, and checkpoints, as well as photos of the Demilitarized Zone. A 50-seat monorail has been installed to accommodate tourists. You can easily climb to the observatory. You can see the old castle ruins of Taebongguk and the Cheorwon Plain at a glance, and you can see the North Korean army through binoculars.
