It is a natural recreational forest located at the foot of Hwaaksan Mountain (1,468m) and boasts a clean valley flowing down from a deep mountain and a natural broadleaf forest. The name Jipdarigol has an interesting origin. It is said that a young man and woman who lived in two houses facing each other across a deep valley desperately wanted to meet each other, so they woven rice straw to build a bridge and fell in love. Afterwards, people called this valley ‘Jipdarigol’ and it is said that it eventually became Jipdarigol. Jiptarigol Natural Recreation Forest is especially popular as a summer resort and a fall foliage spot thanks to its excellent valley and forest. Accordingly, in addition to the lodging facilities, a separate deck is operated for day-use guests. Flat decks measuring 8㎡ and 15㎡ were installed along the valley and forest. The flat deck can only be used until 7pm on the day, and you can pitch a tent and simply cook. However, the use of charcoal fires, wood fires, and electrical facilities is prohibited. In addition, there are walking trails, hiking trails, and suspension bridges.
