Description of art “Museum Project #030, Series of Field” (1997) represents Atta Kim’s main agenda that everything in the universe possesses its own value. He attempts to remind viewers of the preciousness of humankind by documenting men and women in the nude crouching down within transparent acrylic boxes against a forest background. In “The Museum Project,” Kim raises questions about conventional museum exhibition practices as well as those on human dignity by placing people inside acrylic boxes in extreme or disparate situations under a variety of themes such as Nirvana, humanity, holocaust, suicide, and sex.
