The Hampyeong Butterfly Festival held in April offers visitors the opportunity to get a closer look at ecology, in particular the region’s butterflies, flowers and other insects. The complete process of becoming a butterfly from egg can be seen as well as an exhibition of nine thousand insects from around the world. A special event where butterflies in a bottle are released in a flower garden is something not to be missed. Various hands-on programs are also available at the festival.

From Central City Bus Terminal, take an express bus to Hampyeong Bus Terminal.
From Hampyeong Bus Terminal, go 200 m towards the Court Office.
Turn right at the 3-way intersection, and go for approx. 100 m.
Follow the signs for Hampyeong Expo Park.
