太白山山脈由靈峰（海拔 1,560 m）等多座山峰組成，過去人們會在天祭壇舉行祭天儀式；將軍峰（海拔1,567 m）、文殊峰（海拔1,517 m）、鹹白山山頂（海拔1,572 m）。太白山是多種野生動植物的家園，其中包括幾種瀕臨滅絕的物種。較高的平原覆蓋著高山植被。春天，山上杜鵑、杜鵑花盛開，山色變成粉紅色；夏季，森林茂密，海水清澈；秋天，樹葉的變化呈現出彩虹般的色彩；冬天白雪皚皚。
