芳茗洞古墓群是1975年蠶室地區土地整理工程發現的。因城市發展而闢為平地。 1號至6號墓位於同一座山上，1號墓位於同一座山上。 7 號和 8 號位於不遠處的另一座山上。
八座墓葬均為圓形墳包。墓室內為土質、石牆的方形或長方形墓室，墓口有通往墓室的通道。然而，墓室的細節因墓而異。調查前墓葬大部分已被盜，但有少量盤、罐等遺物被發掘。發掘時，推測這些文物來自百濟王朝（西元前18年至西元660年），但現在估計它們的歷史可以追溯到統一新羅時期（西元676年至935年）。 |
