桂陽山海拔395米，被認為是仁川代表性的守護山和聖山。隨著地區名稱的變化，這座山的名字也幾經更迭。其前身為高麗時代水州行政的一部分，稱為“水州岳”，安南行政時期稱為“安南山”，最後在桂陽行政時期更名為“桂陽山”。
桂陽山的名字源自韓國黃楊樹的產地，該地區生產用於製造肉桂的桂皮。桂陽公園於 1944 年 1 月 8 日被指定為仁川第一個城市自然公園，從那時起，桂陽山就成為仁川頂級的市立公園。 |
