大扶島被稱為安山的夏威夷，透過始華堤岸與大陸相連。儘管如此，島上仍保留著許多島嶼的浪漫特色。通往大阜島的道路非常美麗，將許多島嶼連接在一起。特別有趣的是六島（六個島嶼）的聚集：炭島（黑石島）、佛島（有佛的島）、仙岩島（神靈嬉戲的島）和其他三個島嶼。豐島的島上居民在冬天搬到附近的多里多島採摘牡蠣和短頸蛤，並在農曆新年之前按照當地獨特的習俗返回家園。
大阜島的海岸上盛產蛤蜊、海螺、蝦虎魚、比目魚、黑石斑魚和腹綠魚。大阜島地區也以其當地特產而聞名：六島的蛤蜊和牡蠣，豐島的發酵蠑螈和天然冬棗茶，大阜島的蛤蜊刀削麵（短頸蛤麵條）。 |
