義巖寺是為了紀念在臨津戰爭（日本侵朝戰爭）中犧牲的朱農愛而建造的。 1846年，為歌頌農愛的愛國精神，建立了農愛生長香壽明碑。 1955年建造了神社，命名為衣巖寺，1974年遷至現址。紀念館裡陳列著農愛和她的丈夫崔慶會將軍的遺物。農曆9月3日是一年一度的農祭，期間會舉行紀念儀式和文化活動來紀念農祭。
