華嚴寺位於求禮邑以東5.4公里處的智異山麓，建於百濟成王22年（544年），但在臨津戰爭（1592-1598年）期間被燒毀。寺經七年重建，於1636年重建。寺內擁有國寶、寶物、天然紀念物、地方文化遺產等各種文化財產以及20棟不同的建築。
