道甲寺建於新羅末期，歷史悠久，擁有各種國寶。距堂甲寺一柱門約 100 公尺處有建於 1473 年、設計獨特的解脫門，也被指定為國寶。山門附近有第1134號寶物，多甲寺的木童文殊和普賢菩薩。寺內也可見五層石塔和石坐佛（寶）。寺廟的大部分在多次戰爭中被燒毀，但殘留的石頭顯示了寺廟曾經的規模。
