道岩書院建於1634年，原距現址1.5公里。它於 1660 年獲得皇家特許狀，並於 1880 年因洪水問題遷至現址。學園的正門，立德門，由三扇大門組成。進去後，可以看到陽城堂面向正門，左邊是應道堂。每年二月和八月在中正堂舉行祭祀活動。學院內有一座神龕，供奉著曾在該學院任教的四位著名學者的牌位——金長生、金芝、宋俊吉和宋時烈。在為金長生及其教義服務的學院中，多南學院被認為是最重要和最有影響力的。
