蓮花寺相傳是洪文燮所建。洪做了一個夢後，挖掘了蓮花寺現址，找到了兩尊石佛像，並在那裡建造了一座寺廟。 1988年被指定為傳統寺廟。
原為瓦頂建築，因發現「穆因年」碑和台座，屋頂經過改良。碑側呈梯形，底部較寬。人們認為它可以追溯到統一新羅時代。寺廟還擁有一座刻有七尊浮雕佛像的石碑。這座石碑與 Biamsa 和 Jeonganmyeon 的石像一起，被認為為古代藝術帶來了新的曙光。 |
