太白山山脉由灵峰（海拔 1,560 m）等多座山峰组成，过去人们会在天祭坛举行祭天仪式；将军峰（海拔1,567 m）、文殊峰（海拔1,517 m）、咸白山山顶（海拔1,572 m）。太白山是多种野生动植物的家园，其中包括几种濒临灭绝的物种。较高的平原覆盖着高山植被。春天，山上杜鹃、杜鹃花盛开，山色变成粉红色；夏季，森林茂密，海水清澈；秋天，树叶的变化呈现出彩虹般的色彩；冬天白雪皑皑。
