它是束草八景之一。这座白色灯塔与周围蓝色的大海一起营造出如画的景色。束草灯塔展望台原本只是一座灯塔，现在向公众开放，起到了展望台的作用。沿着竹林间的木板步道拾级而上，来到展望台，可以看到蔚蓝的东海、候鸟栖息地的青草湖和雪岳山的壮丽景色。从高塔上望去，东海展现出一望无际的海洋，时而看似平静的湖水，时而变成充满生机的活力海洋。束草灯塔建于 1957 年，至今仍为船只在夜间点亮。自灯塔建成以来一直使用的灯塔发出明亮的灯光和声音，可以向距离灯塔约35公里的船只指示水路。灵金亭就位于展望台旁边。
