洪川银杏林仅在十月份向公众开放。这片私人森林由一名男子种植并维护了 30 多年。 1985年，他与患有慢性消化不良的妻子在该地区定居。当他听说五台山脚下三峰泉水的矿泉水具有药用功效后，他开始在自己宽敞的田地里种植银杏树苗。直到 2010 年，这片森林一直是私有的，随后它的知名度通过口口相传。从那时起，主人就慷慨地同意在十月期间免费向公众开放他的私人土地，届时整个森林都会呈现出金色的色调。
