永宗大桥连接仁川大陆和仁川国际机场所在的永宗岛。在这座桥建成之前，往返永宗岛的唯一方式是乘船。永宗大桥全长4.4公里，是世界上第一座三维自锚式悬索桥。大桥桥面兼有公路和铁路线，桥下可通行万吨级船舶。这座桥的设计能够抵御强风和地震。
这是韩国第一座通过民间资本诱导项目建成的桥梁。除了桥梁的功能外，它也是一种建筑美，因为缆索和大梁的形状被设计成象征韩国传统瓦房的屋檐。 2002年，永宗大桥在韩国首次荣获日本土木工程学会田中奖。 |
