高丽王国迁都江华岛时，为了保护江华海峡免遭入侵而修建的甲洞瞭望台。该要塞地区是高丽王国的战略要地，在 1232 年至 1270 年间曾多次遭受蒙古军队的入侵。
该瞭望塔在朝鲜王朝时期由肃宗于 1679 年加固，曾在 1866 年法国对朝鲜战争中倒塌。1977 年，该遗址恢复原状。现在展出的大炮是朝鲜时代为了从海上攻击外来侵略者而制造的。 |
