为了纪念 2002 年韩日世界杯，水原市采用了“有文化的卫生间”的理念——在全市主要旅游景点建造美丽、干净、全新的卫生间。位于光教水库附近的萤火虫厕所是其中最美丽的。里面设有残疾人通道、过滤光线的天花板、简单的内饰、咖啡自动售货机和休息区。
